Every great product begins with a real problem, and ours began with a dog named Bek.

Bek, our energetic Vizsla, loved long walks and outdoor adventures. Because he had a sensitive stomach, we quickly learned never to leave home without plenty of poop bags. Unfortunately, the bags we relied on often let us down. Some were too thin, others tore too easily, and the biggest frustration of all was running out unexpectedly—with no indication that the roll was almost empty.

Like many pet owners, we started carrying extra rolls everywhere—in our pockets, backpacks, and car—just to avoid getting caught without a bag. It wasn’t the simple, enjoyable experience we wanted every walk to be.

During our hikes and neighborhood walks, we also regularly saw discarded waste bags left behind in parks and along trails. These experiences reinforced our belief that pet products should be thoughtfully designed, used responsibly, and created with consideration for the places we share with our animals.

So, we decided to create something better.

Scarab Alley was built around a simple idea: solve everyday problems for dog owners through dependable, thoughtful design. Our poop bags are strong, reliable, and feature a unique red end-of-roll warning that gives you advance notice before the roll runs out. No more unpleasant surprises halfway through a walk.
